Tamiya Clodapalooza Class Rules
Back in 1987 Tamiya created the Clod Buster and little did they know they created a monster.
Still being sold today it’s a favorite with electric monster truck racers. In its modified form the
truck is acts very similar to a real 1:1 monster truck. The racing that we do with
the truck replicates what the real trucks do today. The Rules are as follows:
1.Clod/Bullhead gearboxes only. Aftermarket gearboxes for the Clod/Bullhead will be permitted as long
as they use the stock gear configuration.
2.Wheels to be 2.6 clod/txt sizing. No Maxx size wheels.
3. Minimum tire height 5 1/2 inches. Minimum tire width is 4 inches. Tires that are made to fit the
Clod/Txt-1 size wheels are permitted. No Maxx size tires.
4.Must run no less than and no more than 2 motors. Motors may be either brushed or brushless.
5.Maximum of 4s lipo/lifepo . Hard case lipo/lifepo packs only.
6.Must be four-wheel drive with 1 motor powering each of the front and rear gearboxes.
7.No restrictions on chassis but trucks must use a 4-link suspension system front and rear in which
all 4 link bars mount to the chassis using 8 pivot points and mount to the axle using 8 pivot points.
8.Sway bar(s) allowed.
9.May be 2 or 4-wheel steer.
